Dinner in a hurry...... sunday night emergency!

kids emergency carbonara

Step 1: put spaghetti on to cook in boiling water
Step 2: fry 1 chopped red onion in a knob of butter.... add in 1 crushed clove of garlic, some ham or bacon to taste
Step 3: tip drained hot spaghetti into onion/garlic/bacon and stir together with 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese and 1 egg.

The heat of the pasta cooks the egg and this should now look nice and glossy.  Tips: to make a skinnier version... use low fat margarine ... to make a fatter version... add 1/4 cup cream at the end.....

note: I served with a side of crunchy salad to make my conscience let up!

ENJOY!

adults emergency curried eggs on sourdough

Step 1: hard boil some eggs - 2 per person
Step 2: cook a white sauce - substitute 1 tablespoon of flour for curry powder (I use keens), then use 1/2 & 1/2 milk and water
Step 3: cook some sourdough toast
Step 4: slice egg and place on top of toast, then top with curry sauce.

(this really isn't on the diet.....)

ENJOY!

The universe is telling me to start blogging.....

note: lucky I have started blogging... ran into Amber from spots and strips last night at fabulous riverside riverfire function in Hawthorne!  That is twice in one week!  Thank you universe for pushing me to fulfil promise!  Maybe I need to include weight loss on Blog.... hmmm maybe not.....

GG turns 5 today!

Happy 5th Birthday to my Gorgeous GG 5 years old today!

Yesterday we had a fantastic party with her best friend K at Carnival Parties in Oxford Street Bulimba.  I might say although we are usually the types to want to host a party we were very excited, just to turn up like guests and leave all the entertainment and cleaning up to someone else!

A huge thank you to Emma from Carnival Parties for a fantastic party!

I must also thank the AMAZING Pip Carter - a mum at our school for the incredible cake.....Pip also runs a business called 3lbowishes making cakes.... check her out!  We had the makeup bag cake pictured on the front page of the website....

More photos of the party to come tomorrow....

Time to start has began!

This week I am dedicating myself to starting to blog.  I am so inspired by the blogging world out there, I can't hold back anymore!  Every corner I turn seems to say... Blog girl Blog!  From sitting next to the lovely author of Spots and Stripes at the hair dresser the other day to my daily inspiration I see from successful businesses and bloggers just getting out there and doing it!

So I thank you for the inspiration....

I am going to blog about food, nutrition, design, all the things I am passionate about.

I am committing to you that I will do it!

Watch this space!!!
